Big thank you to all of you who voted for us in PKC's "Fairer Communities For All" awards: we were awarded £4140 at a wonderful awards ceremony on 2 December in Strathearn Community Campus in the company of many other deserving community groups from Strathallan and Strathearn.
This money will allow us to really get things moving in the village hall - with some organised storage space, some folding chairs (who knows, they could even be comfortable???) and seed funding to start getting a social programme going... including our highly popular ceilidh.
Our certificates of achievement were accepted on behalf of the trustees (and you, the local community) by trustee Paul Neal (see the photo)
- Community Event Support: Hogmanay in Dunning Town Hall will be the kick start to a future of affordable community events. With live music, food, and a welcoming space for all ages, this project will cover upfront costs, add new chairs, and help make concerts and celebrations a regular feature in village life.
- Hall Storage: We want to make Dunning Town Hall safer and easier to use by adding proper storage for Pilates and bowls equipment. A ball tree, racks and cupboards will keep the hall clear, extend the life of our kit, and support affordable weekly activities for over 60 local residents.
