Trustees
We are seeking an initial group of community members to act as trustees to ensure we meet our charitable purposes and to manage the transition from local authority to community management. The General Meeting will be an opportunity for election.
Guidance on the responsibilities of charity trustees is available on the regulator's (OSCR) website and in the proposed constitution (attached to this page).
Positions available are
- Chair
- Vice-chair
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Up to 5 elected members
Nominations can be made beforehand, preferably online via https://dunninghall.org.uk/form/trustee-nomination.
Members
Any resident of the Dunning Community aged 16 or over may apply to become a Member of the Dunning Hall Group. Only Members may vote at General Meetings and - in the future - will be able to book the hall. There will an opportunity at this meeting to sign up as a member.
Junior members (12-15 years) and Associate members (those living outside Dunning) will be able to join at a later date.
Once the Hall has been transferred to the local community and registered as a charity, there will be a small charge (either a one-off joining fee, or an annual subscription) for members.
